Fast e-Referral
Spectrum Medical Imaging and Spectrum Interventional Radiology accept secure electronic referrals via HealthLink SmartForms — preferred if possible. It works with Best Practice, MedicalDirector, Genie, Helix, Communicare, Zedmed, Shexie and Medtech Atria, and integrates directly into our systems.
Once we receive the e-Referral we will contact your patient to arrange the appointment — reducing your administrative load.
Already using HealthLink?
Most practices can start sending immediately. Open HealthLink from your practice software and select the Spectrum Medical Imaging SmartForm from your list of available forms — there is no EDI address to look up or enter. The same SmartForm covers referrals for interventional radiology procedures with Spectrum Interventional Radiology. Patient demographics pre-populate from your clinical record, and the referral is delivered directly into our systems.
Don’t see the Spectrum Medical Imaging form in your list? The HealthLink Helpdesk on 1800 125 036 can enable it for your practice.
Updating a referral you have already sent? Send it via HealthLink again and select “Amended referral / update previously sent referral”, attaching the additional clinical information.

Don’t have compatible software?
Use the free My HealthLink Portal — secure browser-based SmartForms for practices without integrated software. The portal doesn’t pre-populate patient details from your clinical records, so you’ll enter them manually, but registration and use are free.
Tip: when registering, tick both free options — “Receive Electronic Correspondence” and “SmartForm eReferrals”.
